# Lists

**Lists** represent the stages of your workflow within a Board. They organize cards into columns that indicate the status of each task.

## Creating Lists

To create a new list:

1. Open the desired Board
2. Click "Add List" at the end of the columns
3. Type the list name
4. Confirm the creation

## Managing Lists

### Renaming a List

You can rename a list at any time:

1. Click on the list name you want to change
2. Type the new name
3. Confirm the change

The list name is required and cannot be empty.

### Reordering Lists

To rearrange the order of lists within the board:

1. Drag the list to the desired position
2. The order will be updated automatically

The list order defines the visual sequence of your workflow on the board.

### Removing a List

To delete a list:

1. Go to the list settings
2. Select the removal option
3. Confirm the deletion

**Important:** When removing a list, the cards within it will be moved or archived according to system rules. Make sure there are no important cards before removing a list.

## List Types

Clowrk has different list types that serve different purposes in the workflow. Lists are classified into two main categories:

### User-Controlled Lists

These are lists you can freely create and manage to organize your work:

* **GENERIC** - Generic list created by the user for board management. This is the default type for manually created lists.
* **ENTRY** - Entry list, where new cards are created or received. Can be configured as the board's default entry point.
* **DONE** - Completion list, where finished cards are moved. Can be configured as the board's default completion point.
* **EXECUTION** - Execution list, used to indicate that work is being actively performed.

### System-Controlled Lists

These are lists automatically managed by the system and cannot be created manually:

* **ADMISSION** - Admission list, controlled by the system for internal processes.
* **PROCESSING** - Processing list, used by the system to manage automated workflows.
* **ARCHIVE** - Archive list, where archived cards are stored by the system.
* **WAITING** - Waiting list, used by the system to manage cards awaiting some action.

### Configuring Special Lists

#### Entry List (Entry Point)

You can configure a list as the board's default entry point. When a card is created, it will be automatically added to this list. Only one list can be configured as the entry point per board.

#### Completion List (Done Point)

Configure a list as the default completion point. Cards moved to this list can trigger completion automations. Only one list can be configured as the done point per board.

## List Automations

**ENTRY** and **DONE** type lists support automations that can be configured to streamline the workflow.

## Card Limits (WIP)

You can set a card limit per list to control Work In Progress (WIP). This helps avoid overload and maintain a healthy flow.
